The race

The race once started has now ended
Tell me, has your broken self mended?

Wished and prayed
we rolled our dice
Chased the moon, the sun
and paradise

Further went loner
later turned sooner
dreams in disguise
Oh! we learned compromise

Planned, thought, and fight
hurt, betrayal, and cries.
Let’s put ourselves to halt
For, so long we’ve traveled yet lost

But who is to be blamed, who is at fault?

Absent heart salivate
To the time ago not too late
Yet the cruel mind repine
For mirage? No, the shine!

The race once started has now ended
Tell me, has your broken self mended?
